Saeima deputy Aldis Gobzems has filed a picket in the Riga City Council on October 10 against the restrictions set in connection with Covid-19, as well as “non-fulfillment of power promises”, the deputy himself reports. Riga City Council confirmed to the portal “Delfi” that the application indicates that the planned number of visitors for the picket is 100.

The picket will take place from 6 pm to 7 pm at the Rainis monument on the Esplanade, Riga.
It has already been reported that there are various restrictions on the spread of Covid-19 in the country, including during business hours. Restrictions also significantly affect the tourism and service sector.
The last time Gobzems held a picket was in May, when he called on the residents to protest against the use of the e-platform in the work of the Saeima. At that time, about 100 people gathered in the picket.
