Coronavirus crisis September 24 (most recent report, Thursday, September 23, 2020, 1 p.m.) – Summary: 1,289 cured, 1,639 new cases, 41 deaths, 506 patients at ATI, 281 new cases in Bucharest in the last 24 hours

Total people hospitalized with COVID-19 – 7,245.

Unlike the newly confirmed cases, following the retesting of patients who were already positive, 600 people were reconfirmed positively.

508 patients are hospitalized at ATI. The highest number of patients in intensive care was 522 people and was registered on September 1.

4,633 dead. 42 deaths in the last 24 hours.

Between 24.09.2020 (10:00) – 25.09.2020 (10:00) were registered 42 deaths (25 men and 17 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Arad, Bacău , Bihor, Bistrița-Năsăud, Brașov, Buzău, Caraș-Severin, Covasna, Giurgiu, Ialomița, Iași, Mehedinți, Prahova, Timiș, Vaslui, Ilfov and Bucharest.

Of these, 3 deaths were recorded in the age group 40-49 years, 5 deaths in the age category 50-59 years, 10 deaths in the age category 60-69 years, 14 deaths in the age category 70-79 years and 10 deaths in the category of over 80 years.

41 of the registered deaths were of some patients who presented comorbidities, and 1 deceased patient did not present comorbidities.

The total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 7,245. Of these, 508 are hospitalized at ATI.

Total test: 2328322. Of these, 25,494 were performed in the last 24 hours, 15,879 based on the case definition and medical protocol and 9,615 on request.

In Romania, 9,352 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are in isolation at home, and 7,004 people are in institutional isolation. Also, 23,850 people are in quarantine at home, and 179 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

The municipalities of Bucharest (210) and the counties of Bacău (102), Ilfov (92), Prahova (87) and Iaşi (78) are the areas with the most newly confirmed cases of coronavirus compared to the last report, informs, on Friday, the Strategic Communication Group (GCS).

The least cases were registered in the counties of Vrancea (5), Călăraşi (9) and Olt (10).

Most cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection, registered so far, are in Bucharest – 16,096 and in the counties of Suceava – 6,387, Brasov – 5,787, Prahova – 5,558 and Arges – 5,447, informs, on Friday, the Strategic Communication Group (GCS).

Over 4,000 diseases were registered in Iaşi, Bacău and Galaţi counties, over 3,000 in Bihor, Cluj, Dâmboviţa, Timiş, Neamţ counties, and over 2,000 cases are in Arad, Brăila, Buzău, Constanţa, Dolj, Hunedoara counties, Ilfov, Sibiu, Vaslui, Vrancea, Vâlcea.

From the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic until now, 126 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the USA, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of Congo and one in Greece, have died.
Of the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus, 428 were declared cured: 308 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
