The Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Health, Medical Assistance and Health Insurance boycotts the draft budget of Ukraine for the next year, 2021, due to the fact that less than 5% of Ukraine’s GDP is allocated for health care.
This was announced by the chairman of the People’s Deputy Committee from the Servant of the People faction Mikhail Radutsky, transfers “Interfax-Ukraine”.
“Today, the budget from the Ministry of Finance came to the Rada. What I saw, we will not support in any case, because there is a law of Ukraine” On State Financial Guarantees, “according to which Ukraine must allocate at least 5% for health care. What will be outside these figures, we will not unanimously support at the committee, “Radutsky said.
Thus, the Committee will not support the draft budget prepared by the Ministry of Finance until the financing of health care in it is in accordance with the law. At the same time, Radutsky did not name specific amounts.
According to the people’s deputy, he and his colleagues in the Committee will not back down until their demands are met.
In addition, answering questions from journalists at the building of the Verkhovna Rada on Monday morning, September 14, Radutsky supported the holding of local elections, regardless of the situation with Covid-19.
“I believe that elections should be held even if we have a total problem with the incidence of COVID-19. Local elections should be held, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs should ensure compliance with quarantine requirements,” said the head of the Health Committee, noting that this his personal position.
