FEI establishes Covid-19 aid fund – Equnews Netherlands


The FEI has set up a relief fund to support national federations. FEI Solidarity funding goes to more than 40 projects in 23 countries. This says the FEI in a statement.

Its purpose is to stimulate equestrian activity at riding schools and schools. In particular the care and maintenance of horses. In total, 105 of the 137 National Federations are eligible for support from the established Covid-19 Aid Fund.

“The pandemic has had a devastating impact worldwide and a major adverse effect on the equestrian world in general, but some countries, especially those with less economic resources to begin with, have been hit particularly hard,” said Ingmar De Vos, FEI- chair and chair of the FEI Solidarity Committee.

The FEI has already awarded approximately € 2.8 million in development funding, one-third of which for Covid-19 aid, to 23 national federations.
