As Ukrinform reports, this was announced by Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko Facebook.
“In total, 52% of the 1,600 beds prepared for the reception of coronavirus patients in 16 medical institutions are filled in the capital’s hospitals,” he said.
Klitschko visited the city hospital №4, which is one of the mainstays for the treatment of patients with COVID-19, and also showed a video he shot at the hospital.
“Last night I visited the city hospital № 4, which is one of the mainstays for the treatment of patients with COVID-19. I have visited this medical facility before. And the vast majority of patients are between the ages of 30 and 60, ”he said.
The mayor of the capital noted that the virus is not receding, and the number of detected cases of coronavirus in the capital, unfortunately, is growing. The number of patients in need of hospitalization is also increasing.
According to him, the G4 hospital is almost 80 percent full.
Klitschko added that the hospital has its own laboratory for testing and research of biomaterial samples for PCR and ELISA, the institution is provided with the necessary means of protection and medicines.
As reported, in Ukraine for the past day, September 8, 2,551 new cases of coronavirus infection were detected, since the beginning of the epidemic, a total of 143,030 have been recorded.
