The test rate in Kiev is the highest in Ukraine and amounts to 210 tests per 100 thousand people, the mayor of the city Vitaliy Klitschko said.
“So more and more people are turning to doctors with symptoms of coronavirus, respectively, the number of tests is increasing. The testing rate in Kiev is today the highest in Ukraine and is 210 tests per 100 thousand people,” Klitschko said during an online press conference on Wednesday.
He noted that since the beginning of the pandemic, more than 99 thousand samples of biomaterial have been examined by PCR in communal medical institutions and the laboratory center. More than 17.5 thousand tests were performed using ELISA for the detection of antibodies. The samples are examined in private and public clinics.
“Mobile teams of doctors continue to work actively in the capital, taking biomaterial for analysis for COVID-19 from patients at home. On September 1, teams selected 923 samples. And in total, since the beginning of the work of mobile teams, more than 58 thousand,” Klitschko said.
