Three hockey players of “Ugra” got sick with coronavirus

“Ugra” has reported three positive for coronavirus in team hockey players. “Yugra” arrived for a training camp at the “Kurganovo” sports complex on July 19. Upon arrival, the team was tested for coronavirus, according to the recommendations of Rospotrebnadzor. To pass the first stage of the training camp, the team was divided into groups of five people.

As a result of studies in three players out of two fives, the test results tested positive for COVID-19. All 10 players (three players with a confirmed diagnosis and seven contacts) of these fives were sent for examination. The sick players were diagnosed with ARVI, coronavirus infection, mild course.

The patients were examined by the team’s doctor and promptly placed in an isolation ward, tests for coronavirus were taken, and treatment was started.

After laboratory confirmation of the diagnosis, the patients were referred for further treatment to the temporary residence of patients with COVID-19. Treatment is carried out under the supervision of doctors of the Central City Hospital No. 7 in Yekaterinburg. The condition is assessed as satisfactory.

Since the test results were positive, the team has been tested several times. No new cases have been identified in the team, “said team doctor Alexei Anisimov.
