The findings of the study, which was conducted with the follow-up of 5,706 Covid-19 patients in South Korea and 59 thousand 73 people they contacted, were published on the website of the U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

It was stated that 11.8 percent of the people with whom Covid-19 patients contacted at home had positive Covid-19 tests, and this rate was found to be 18.6 percent in those living with patients aged 10 to 19.

Among the groups examined in the study, it was emphasized that the highest risk of Covid-19 transmission at home was caused by children in this age range.

Experts stated that the rate of transmission of children under the age of 10 to Covid-19 was lowest, but warned that this might change when schools are opened.

In many countries, controversy continues as to when schools are opened and how lessons are conducted due to the Covid-19 outbreak.
