“We made a proposal to increase this criterion to 55 per 100,000 patients. That is, countries with the number of active patients more than 55 per 100,000 (after approval by the Cabinet) will fall into the red zone, less than 55 into the green zone,” the official said .
The Ministry of Health explained that the need to change the criteria for determining the countries of “red” and “green” is due to the fact that in Ukraine this figure is still 62 active patients per 100,000 population.
According to Stepanov, the Ministry of Health does not exclude that Ukraine, following the example of European countries in determining the rules of entry into its territory, can switch to the incidence criterion (the number of new cases of the disease).
Stepanov said that Ukraine included the Netherlands in the list of countries in the green zone after receiving official data on the number of active patients with coronavirus in this country. Now in the Netherlands, this figure is 14.5 per 100,000 population.
A person who comes from the countries of the “red zone” must undergo self-isolation for 14 days by installing the DIY home application on his mobile phone. Earlier it was reported that those who arrived from the countries of the “red” zone could early withdraw from self-isolation by passing the PCR test for COVID-19.
