As Anna Turuntseva, Head of the Finance Department of the Administration of Yekaterinburg, explained, changes in the budget are mainly associated with an increase in inter-budget transfers. Additional funds are allocated for health and education.
So spending on medicine doubled – from 1.1 billion rubles to 2.2 billion rubles. Additional funds were allocated for the re-equipment of hospitals in connection with coronavirus infection, for additional payments to health workers working with Covid-19 patients, for the purchase of new ambulances, and so on.
Also, expenses on the construction and repair of schools and kindergartens in Yekaterinburg in 2020 were increased by 700 million rubles (2.4 billion rubles were allocated in total).
As a result, 31 deputies voted for changes in the budget, one opposed.
