From March 17, international passenger transportation through airports, ports, by bus and railway transport has been abolished in Latvia, except for passenger transportation by state aircraft and military transport.

Also, as of March 17, the movement of persons and vehicles through airports, ports, railways and roads at the external border crossing points of the European Union, as well as at border crossing points intended for local border traffic, except for freight transport, is prohibited.

At the same time, Latvian citizens and foreigners whose permanent residence is in Latvia are allowed to return to Latvia through the mentioned border crossing points. Foreigners are also allowed to leave Latvia through them.
