The more often Ukrainians watch the news, the more they are sure that the situation with the spread of coronavirus in Ukraine is getting worse, according to a poll by the Sociological Group Rating.
Almost half of Ukrainian citizens (43%) believe that the situation with the coronavirus epidemic in the country is getting worse. About it testify the results of a survey conducted by the Sociological Group “Rating”.
Another 15% of respondents said that the situation is improving. 33% of respondents did not notice any changes for the better or for the worse. “The more often people follow the news, the more confident they are that the situation with the coronavirus is getting worse,” sociologists say.
According to the survey, in general, about 95% of citizens follow news on coronavirus: 68% – often, 19% – sometimes, and another 9% – rarely. 5% of respondents said they were not at all interested in such news.
The survey was conducted using the CATI method (telephone interviews using a computer) on April 24–25 based on a random sample of mobile phones. A total of 1,200 respondents over the age of 18 were interviewed in all regions of Ukraine, except for the temporarily occupied territories of Crimea and Donbass. Error of representativeness of the study with a confidence probability of 0.95: not more than 2.8%.
