RT authorities explain new restrictions due to COVID-19

The authorities of Tatarstan notice that a large number of shift workers from other regions come to the republic to work at local enterprises. New restrictions are associated with this, the head of the press service of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan stated during the briefing. Lilia Galimova.

Recall, on the eve of the Prime Minister of the Republic Alexey Pesoshin signed a resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tajikistan, according to which two-week self-isolation is mandatory for all citizens who came to Tatarstan from other regions, and their relatives. Previously, such a requirement applied only to residents of Moscow and St. Petersburg.

“Now, all other subjects of the Russian Federation have joined Moscow and St. Petersburg. What is the reason for this? We observe that a large number of people come to the republic on a rotational basis in order to work in enterprises. All the heads of enterprises and heads of municipalities were previously informed of the requirement to involve as few specialists as possible on a rotational basis. If we record the arrival of residents of other regions, they must pass a two-week quarantine, ”said Galimova.

She noted that quarantine was also prescribed for relatives of people who came from other regions.

“A lot of people work on a rotational basis in the republic, they come, and that’s why we have problems. Today it is necessary not only for those who have arrived from Moscow and St. Petersburg, but for all those who have arrived in the republic to enter quarantine, ”the President of the Republic of Tatarstan said at a meeting on April 20. Rustam Minnikhanov.

According to the latest data, 355 cases of COVID-19 infection were registered in the republic, of which 75 – over the last day, this is a new record. Earlier 36 people recovered.
