A large-scale trial of COVID-19 drugs begins in the UK


The UK’s largest drug test for the treatment of COVID-19 coronavirus has been announced in the UK.

“This is by far the biggest ordeal in the world,” said Peter Gorby of the University of Oxford, who heads the study.

He has previously tested for Ebola medicines in West Africa and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).

More than 5,000 patients in 165 hospitals across the country are participating in the study.

According to the study participants, the first results will be announced in June.
