The number of patients with coronavirus in Kiev rose to 279, 36-year-old man died


In Kiev, as of April 7, the number of patients with COVID-19 increased to 279 people. Of these, four children, one medic. One man 36 years old died. For his life almost two weeks the doctors of the Alexander Hospital fought, said the mayor Vitali Klitschko at a briefing.

“He was connected to an ECMO oxygen saturation device, but his lungs were very affected,” he said.

During the day, 12 new cases of the disease were discovered – in three women from 34 to 41 years old and two girls for three years. Five men from 31 to 67 years old, two boys of 6 and 15 years old also fell ill.

Of these, two were hospitalized, the remaining 10 are treated at home.

“The majority of Kiev residents with coronavirus confirmed over the past day have not traveled outside the country recently, that is, they were infected in Ukraine,” the mayor said.

Klitschko urged to consult doctors in a timely manner in order to receive treatment on time. He added that Kiev hospitals received the drug Plaquenil and anti-malaria drugs that are used to treat coronavirus. On April 7, 200,000 masks will go to the pharmacy community pharmacy chain.

Recall, on April 6, the mayor of Kiev, Vitali Klitschko, confirmed four cases of coronavirus infection in the Kiev Pechersk Lavra. In just 24 hours, COVID-19 was detected in 22 people.
