Crete: Bell to cafe owner who ignores measures for coronavirus

The 49-year-old was sentenced to 18 months in jail and a fine of 3,000 euros, who opened his cafe on Monday afternoon, despite measures to ban the coronavirus.

The owner of the cafe in the village of Antiskari in the Municipality of Gortyna was sent to the Public Prosecutor’s Office today with the Criminal Court of Criminal Court in Heraklion to impose an 18-month suspended prison sentence.

At the same time, he was fined € 3,000, which doubles the amount raised by the fund.

It is noted that so far police have arrested six businessmen in Heraklion who have opened their stores despite the ban.
